You Can Choose To Be Happy

Hey, how are you? How are you actually? Whatever answer you have to that question, I just want to say that you are the only one who has complete control over your emotions and state of mind. You might have contradictory statements against that but I might have the exact explanation to convince you.
There are multiple things that might aggravate a person. Personally, I have a very short temper so I always try to control things that can’t be controlled (at least for me). It takes real self-control to stop myself from arguing over random topics with the people around me. Usually, all ends well and all I had to do was just tame my anger. By that, I wanted to prove that only YOU HAVE CONTROL TO YOUR EMOTIONS!!
I had a Billie Eilish phase when I practically convinced myself that I was the saddest person on the planet. To be honest, I felt very very sad and it always felt like I was in a melancholic environment. I had gotten comfortable with being sad and crying myself to bed every single day. This continued for a year until I decided that I am no longer going to be sad because not only is it mentally draining, but it can also have negative effects on my health in the long run. No hate to Billie, I absolutely love all her songs and I also consider myself to be her megafan till today.
So all you have to do is grab a piece of paper and write down exactly how you are feeling and why you are feeling the way you are feeling. If it is any of the negative emotions, then really focus on the reason and double-check if it’s worth your time and energy. If the reason isn’t worthy enough, ask yourself what you can do to change it. It's totally alright to get angry or sad once in a while but it isn’t acceptable to feel that way everyday.
If you are having a hard time controlling your emotions then it simply means you are comfortable with your current state. In this situation you have to really think of the happy memories you have and make yourself realize how fun it is to be happy and optimistic. Even science says that it's good to be happy!
All in all, it’s completely your CHOICE how you want to live. Until next time, stay happy and healthy
